On July 19-20, 2012, we visited the Monterey Bay Marine GIS Users Group. On July 19, we gave an MGET overview presentation (download PowerPoint slides here). On July 20, we gave a practical workshop on predictive modeling. We are in the process of converting the modeling example to an online tutorial. When that is complete, we will email the attendees to let them know it is available.
Thanks to everyone that attended! We hope the workshop gave you some new ideas for your work and connected you with some new colleagues doing similar things. A big thank you to the NOAA Fisheries Santa Cruz Lab for hosting us at the Users Group meeting, to Pat Iampietro and Rikk Kvitek of the CSUMB Seafloor Mapping Lab for hosting the modeling workshop, and most especially to Lisa Wedding and Nadine Golden for organizing these events.
If you have any questions or feedback please email me (
